Wider access to literature

Last weekend, children’s books were exchanged across London. The project, first established by Discover, wants to encourage reading amongst children. The idea is that people whose books haven’t been read in years go out and swap them to books they are interested in. This way people gain access to more books. In particular, parents whose kids have grown too old for some of the stories share them with parents who have younger children. The swapping places can be found in multiple boroughs: Redbridge Central Children’s Library, Ilford, Walthamstow… Overall 70 venues took place across London. No need to go far, there certainly is a location close to you, too.
