Primeminister Theresa May criticized the further delay of a new education bill for Scotland at a conference last Friday. Ms Sturgeon fires back by stating that the bill needs to be carefully checked and revisited before it can pass. However, Ms May argues that the new bill is desperately needed since the standards have fallen in Scotland and the attainment gap is huge.
PM May did not only criticize the handling of educational topics but also made a strong point regarding Brexit. While the majority of Scotland voted Remain and wants to stay in the EU independently from the rest of the UK, PM May does not give in to announcing independency on this matter for Scotland.
