Children who drop out of schools without any explanation are at greater risk of abuse and exploitation than their peers who go to school regularly. Obviously the reasoning is circular – children who are already being abused are also rarely seen visiting schools on a regular basis. However, there are also other reasons for why children decide to stay away from school. These include bullying or special educational needs that are not met. Children that are left without any education face tremendous problem in their future lives. Since these children are often living under the radar, they remain unnoticed by social services and hence, can only rarely be helped by authorities or other organizations.
