Thanks to healthy food campaigns and easy-to-understand labeling of products, adults – and children – are nowadays very aware of what they consume. This change from a society living of fastfood has happened in the past ten years, not at last with the help of charities, community interest companies and the government. Every item we buy at the supermarket has a label showing the nutrients it contains so that we can make an educated decision about the product. Moreover, every child is being educated about health and nutrition for 3.4 hours a year. This investment pays off in students knowing the impact of products on their body, when shown different objects like apples, carrots, bread and milk.
